Muddy Monday

Last night Camp Geiger was hit by a torrential down pour, a few tents were blown off their frames prior to the storm but luckily everything was fixed before the rain really started and there weren't any major damages. The rain last night did have an effect on some activities today though because of the mud and water, such as Nature and Scout Craft. The problem the Nature area faced was that the rain had washed out the trails they take for observations and turned them into soup which meant that they had to use the old trails. Down in Scout Craft the water flooded the closet that they hold all of their supplies in which caused a minor inconvenience for them, the rain also meant for some muddy games.
Some activities that I passed today felt no real effect of the mud such as the Eagle merit badges Law and Communications, both classes were just fine sitting at their picnic tables. At the time the Communications class was giving presentations of a list of words that they felt described themselves some of which also included some clarification for the instructor Jayce Berry. Later I went down to dance practice at the Running Horse Council Ring. The Braves and Warriors in the tribe of Mic-O-Say began the first of many practices to prepare them for the dances they will be performing during the Wednesday night campfire and during the Tapping ceremony on Thursday.

So far this week has started off with a bang and there are many more exciting things to be expected as it progresses. To keep up with everything that is Camp Geiger I encourage you to check back here at Camp Geiger Blogspot to prevent from missing any of the excitement.
